Summer 2018 Basic Open Water Scuba Diver Course

Discover_Scuba_0120FSAC runs Basic Open Water courses (subject to minimum number of students, and instructor availability).  To request information or to reserve your spot in the course send an email to the Training organizer.

You will learn: basic physics principles of diving, environment, medical aspects, proper use of equipment, problem solving, stress management and safe diving practices.

The course consists of five theory and pool sessions, a written exam and four open water dives.

PREREQUISITES

  • Ability to swim 8 lengths or 200m
  • Good health and no respiratory problems

  • Pool Location:  Building 471 Uplands Outdoor Pool
  • Classroom location:  Building 471 Conference Room

ADMIN

To participate in this training, students must be a member of FSAC.

A minimum of 6 students is required to run the course.

If the above course timings don’t work for you, let us know as we can arrange training at Sharky’s Scuba Store or on the Quebec side of the river, a similar arrangement will be set up via Poseidon in Gatineau.
